Moodle Course Content Reset – 15 September

resetEach year, Moodle courses are reset to remove old student data and make the courses available for the next cohort of students. Current staff and students will need to take action to ensure they have all the information they need from Moodle before the resets take effect.

The majority of courses were reset on 18 August. The remaining courses (primarily those used to submit dissertations) are being reset on Tuesday 15 September. These courses will be unavailable on Moodle all day.

Don’t forget: you must download any information and documents you will need from Moodle before the reset date. Course content will not be available to you after 15 September.

Resolved Significant Incident: Issues with hosted telephony services

IMT are aware of a number of outages affecting LSE’s hosted telephony services, including loss of call quality, outages to our call centres, and instant messaging services. We have been informed that this is due to an issue impacting our supplier.

IMT are working with the supplier to mitigate the impact to LSE’s telephony services, and will provide regular updates via this blog and the IMT website.

IMT are aware of an issue affecting phone call quality on campus. IMT staff are working with the supplier to urgently investigate and resolve the issue.

New printers in the Library

IMT will be installing new printers in Library areas today, 27th August. These new printers will improve the printing facilities for students at LSE and reduce wastage of paper and toner on campus.

We are aware that many students will be printing their dissertations this week, and have provided additional staff to help with using the new printers. If you experience any problems, please visit the IMT Walk In Centre on the 1st floor of the Library.

Maintenance to Plasma Screen Displays on Campus – 2nd and 3rd September

On Wednesday 2nd and Thursday 3rd September, IMT will be carrying out essential upgrade work to the Tripleplay software used to display digital signage on plasma screens across campus. Throughout Wednesday and the morning of Thursday next week, plasma screens will be switched off while we carry out the work.

Following the launch of the Customer Portal earlier this year, IMT has been offering staff and students to chance to win £100 worth of Amazon vouchers with three prize draws.
